Both advertising and sales focusses on selling the products or services. Both are equally important for the success of a business. Where advertising is what you do to reach out to the prospective buyers so as to pesuade them to buy your products and services, sales is where you do everythng to close the deal. In case of advertising what you see is that the appeals are more emotional and functional in nature. While sales jsutifies whatever it says i.e. they ae more rational in their appeal. With advertising what you get is a reason to buy the product or a service whereas with sales in addition to the reasons customers also receive incentives. Time frame for advertisng is longer but for sales it’s short. Futhermore, though both advertising and sales aim for the same thing there still is a slight diffence when it comes to their objective. What advertising does is to create a lasting brand image, unlike sales that wants to sell quickly. Also the approach is indirect in case of advertising just the opposite of sales. Together advertising and sales will gaurantee successful amount of business growth. But it’s most essential to keep the efforts balanced or the results can also be negative. When both contribute equally to a business that is when one can expect maximum amount of profit. Remember without advertising your products and services will not have the prospects and without proper sale technique the end result will not be what you had desired or expectd. If either of the two fails than your business fails too.
